About.

Abhishek has around 20 years of experience. He joined the firm 16 years ago and is a home-grown lawyer, who has risen through the ranks to partnership. 

At the firm, Abhishek leads the practice under Corporate & Commercial Laws, M&A (across all sectors), Employment Laws, Litigation, Arbitration, Indian Bankruptcy Code, Private Equity Disputes, White Collar Crimes, Scheme under Companies Act and other laws.

Abhishek started his career as a corporate lawyer, focusing on private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions, work related to the Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI), overseas direct investments and foreign currency convertible bonds. Gradually with the advent of the new Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, and increasing international arbitrations, Abhishek built prowess in these practices. Abhishek also advises clients on niche matters relating to labour and employment law and policy. Given his extensive experience in corporate and commercial law, especially concerning FDI and the SEBI regulations, he has garnered a preference among clients for their corporate and commercial disputes. He is adept at dealing with intricate financial frauds and civil litigation issues. Advocating for clients before the Supreme Court, various High Courts, NCLT, NCLAT, SEBI, SAT, DRT and DRAT in industries engaged in the business of EPC, oil & gas, telecoms, finance, retail and real estate.

Abhishek demonstrates intellectual agility and is the preferred choice of lawyer for clients because of his ability to synthesize complex issues. He combines corporate, advisory, transactional, pre-contentious and contentious experience to dispense the solutions best suited to his clients’ needs. Owing to his unique combination of corporate law and disputes, Abhishek is able to lend good counsel on aspects of how the law and its commercial aspects will be interpreted in courts.
